Objective: In this project we were tasked with a partner to screen print a three color image of an iconic figure in halftone format consistent with Andy Warhol's Pop Art Style of the 1960s and early 1970s. We choose Manny Paquiao because he is a legend Filipino in boxing and inspired me to push it on the hard times.
Direction: First, I open the photoshop to fix anything that needs to be fix like clearing the backgrounds and cropping the bottom part. Then change the color to gray scale. Next, turn the image into little dots. Next, I printed two copies on Casey's Translucency and line the two pieces up exactly to tape them together. Next we expose the image on the emulsion that has been applied to our screen. Next, we line the frame up on the image on the properly align platen on the shirt press. Lastly, we did a test print on paper and move to pellons
Likes: What I like about this project is the Manny Paquiao print on the pellons is very accurate.
Dislikes: What I don't like about my project is the gloves were not allign but as long its close i'm okay with it because it does not have to be perfect..
Time: It takes about 13 hours to finish this project.
