Objective: We were tasked to create a greeting card design and print on greeting card sized paper using the Speedball Block Printing Kit.
Direction: First, I create my greeting card on a gravit using pen tool it allows me to trace and make a perfect car and letters. Then, I used the square shapes copying and pasting to make it easier. Then, I turn the color into black and white. Next, I printed my work in gravit and cut the white part and leave the black part for my next step. Then, I put it on the rubber and traced it using pencil before carving it. Then I took an ink and put it on the flat plastic container and roll it with the brayer. Next, I rolled the brayer into carved rubber and roll is more than 3 times. As the ink was wet I then I turn the rubber up side down and stick it into clean paper.
Likes: What I like about this project is when I was carving it feels so satisfying and how the car looks perfect than I think it really challenged me to carve the small details which I like.
Dislikes: What I don't like about my project is how the ink keeps sticking on my fingers and the rubber made a mess but I still recommend it to anyone who wants to try it.
